The history of the Kharajah Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan became more interesting in the year 570 when Muhammad’s cousin, Abu Bakr (The Prophet’s uncle), came to the young Kharajah Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan and asked him to help him to restore Muhammad’s family members to power. Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan became powerful. He helped the Muslims of Khaybar to recapture their town from the Jews. His victory was, however, short-lived. Abd al-Malik himself was killed in 622. His son, Marwan I, became the next leader.
